The research examined and identified the extent to which the characteristics of social dominance orientation and potential racial discrimination are present in a representative sample of police officers in a Southwestern city. A quantitative analysis of data collected using the Social Dominance Orientation (SDO6) and the Social Attitude Survey (QDI) instruments from a sample of police officers in a Southwestern city revealed the extent to which the characteristics of social dominance orientation and potential racial discrimination were present.
